Ages
Mini Pony: 4-6
Pony: 7-9
JV: 10-11
Varsity: 12-13
Season
The season will run from late-July too mid-November
Practices & Games
Practice Location: TBD
Games: Mix of home and away. Home field is Gov. Thomas Johnson High School stadium.
Practices
Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 6:00 PM -7:15 PM
Starting July 28, 2026
Cheer Camp:
Tuesday, July 21 - Friday, July 24, 2026
9:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Please Note: This camp is not mandatory but highly recommended as it is a chance for the team to bond and learn basic cheer fundamentals.
Games
TJYAA has returned to the CCYFCL (Carroll County Youth Football and Cheerleading League). Currently there are 11 programs that represent the CCYFCL which will have rotating games throughout the season. A game schedule with locations will be provided in August. Parents can expect up to 1 hour travel time for some field locations
Uniforms
Uniforms will be sized and provided the first week in August.

Will there be a parent meeting?
Yes, our mandatory parent meeting will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 at 6 PM, a day before cheer camp begins. Location TBD.
2026 Season
Welcome to TJ Youth Cheer! Our youth cheer program offers athletes the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of cheerleading while building confidence, teamwork, leadership skills.
Cheerleaders will perform at football games, participate in community and league events, and learn a routine for competition expos.
No prior cheer experience is required - just your energy, spirit and positive attitude!
